Among the new benefits to our dancers and their families are new options on the school website. Not only can you find the latest updates to the calendar of school events, but now you do much more as well! For example, not only is there a page of used shoes available for purchase at great prices, but you can also explore the new merchandise page where items ranging from clothing to steps books and dance gear all available for sale directly through the website with most bearing the school’s name and/or logo. You will even be able to access your invoices for all purchases via the website. Additionally, you may enjoy browsing the new forums which give you a wonderful place to ask questions, exchange information, or just chat about Irish dance. All of these benefits are readily available by simply going to the members’ login page and creating your unique login ID and password. That will allow you to access all these new parts of the site so you can find great bargains, valuable information, and get to know more about Irish dance and the other O’Brien Academy families. Just a tip… using the same login ID and password as used to access your tuition information keeps things simple.
An order is being put together by the school for a bulk purchase of poodle socks, which are part of the dancewear required for class use and for competition. These are the white socks that typically hit midway up the calf on dancers and are used by both male and female Irish dancers. These socks will not be made available via the online store as we are getting them imported from Ireland, but we are planning to place periodic bulk orders. We are making them available for $8 per pair. Should you wish to order, please bring a check for the appropriate amount to class or you may add the amount to your tuition check for April.

This is going to be a thrilling show with beautiful music and dance numbers performed by talented, hardworking dancers who’ve literally put months of work into this show. With 100% of the proceeds going directly to the Boys and Girls Club of Maury County you can’t lose – you and your friends and neighbors get to enjoy a brilliant evening at a live show and know that you’re benefitting a worthy cause which is so valuable to the community. Be sure to order your tickets quickly and to spread the word about this exciting show!
The O’Brien Irish Dance Academy Class Feis 2010 will be held on May 8th, so be watching for more details soon to come. It is a great experience for dancers of all ages and levels and will be a fun way to meet and know better the families from all our locations as well as giving a taste of what competitions will be like. Mark your calendars!
